What is IV hydration therapy?

 

IV hydration therapy is a minimally invasive treatment that administers electrolyte packed IV fluids directly into your bloodstream, a more efficient method of absorption compared to oral hydration.

 

When you push your body to the limit, you lose more than just fluids.  Therefore, drinking water is not always enough.  IV hydration therapy aids in replenishing lost nutrients and electrolytes replenishing your body instantly, leaving you hydrated and revitalized. 

IV hydration allows for 100% absorption compared to only 50-60% absorption through oral hydration.

A typical IV hydration treatment takes 30-60 minutes.

Amber Van Voorst, APRN, CRNA

Amber  has been a health care provider for over 25 years. She brings vast knowledge with her experience in emergency care and primary care. 

Certifications: NRP, PALS, ACLS, and BLS.

Nicolle started her nursing career in 2010 working as a registered nurse in the post critical/Telemetry unit at Unity Point Health, St. Luke’s.  From 2010 to 2021 She became AANP board certified in June 2021 and has continued working in Orthopedics as a nurse practitioner since that time. 

Certifications:

Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Certified in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

Aesthetic Medicine- botox/dysport, filler and PRP microneedling for facials and hair loss.

IV hydration and nutrition--She has 15 years of experience with IV maintenance, port access and PICC line care.
